Currently, I offer private movement instruction based in contemporary dance online. However, it’s not what you might think of a dance class. There is no choreography to perform and no acrobatic movement. It’s a gentle movement practice, that challenges and incorporates changes gradually as your body is ready. It also involves working with mind-body awareness, core work, fluid movements and stretching. It's a practice that helps you to feel good in your body.
All you need is bare feet, preferably a hard wood floor and a small open space to move. The sessions are offered online (or possibly in person in Raleigh, NC) and last about 45 minutes, so it's convenient to fit into your day. Everyones body is different, so I pull from my experience as a personal trainer to tailor the sessions. I am also committed to diversity and welcome seniors, neurodiverse, minorities and LGBTQ+.
